About the role:

We’re looking for UX specialists who can help craft the big picture while never losing sight of important details. The ideal candidate should possess an excellent sense of creative strategy that enables them to conceptualize, communicate, and deliver end-to-end user experiences and next-generation workflows for Gartner customers. In this role you will help design UX and product innovations and apply lean product principles in everything we do. If you are interested to work with an agile scrum team in a lean startup at an established brand, this is the role for you.

 

This position involves conceiving and conducting user research, interviews and surveys, and translating them into sitemaps, user flows, customer journey maps, conducting design workshops, creating wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and iterating the solution in accordance with user testing. Having a strong goal-orientation (vs. a task-orientation) and an anchoring on the client experience will help you navigate the decisions needed to build great products. The Lead UX Designer will also be expected to support multiple engagements, coaching junior designers, positively influencing team collaboration, and building re-usable templates/processes.

 

 

What you will do: 

  • Translate business requirements and complex design problems into intuitive and impactful solutions.
  • Conduct behavioral and secondary research to understand customer pain-points, define problem statements, create customer personas, experience themes, and journeys.
  • Partner with product owners and conduct workshops co-create product vision, success criteria, and road-map.
  • Ideate multiple concepts and translate concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences.
  • Articulate the strategy behind design decisions and participate in regular peer-reviews.
  • Create and maintain design system with reusable UX components, front-end libraries, and mockups optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces.
  • Implement a “lean” approach to product development where you and the team strive for early validated learnings by conducting quick usability testing that leads to shorter cycle times for delivering customer value.
  • Support and collaborate with development teams throughout the implementation cycle.
  • Support multiple long- and short-term projects while actively prioritizing workflow based on ROI, and business value generated.
  • Lead by example and help junior designers grow in their career.

 

What you will need:

  • Be passionate about resolving pain-points and elevating product experience.
  • Degree in a related discipline with 8+ years’ experience in product/UI design solutions based in completely digital environments.
  • Experience in conducting primary research and churing analytics data to communicate insightful information.
  • A solid grasp of user-centered design (UCD), human Computer interaction, planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability and accessibility concerns
  • Ability to work with a geographically distributed team by clearly and effectively communicating design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams and clients
  • Strong interpersonal skills and proactive attitude.
  • Strong visual design, brand, and user experience instincts; ability to iterate designs and solutions efficiently and intelligently
  • Understand basic CSS / HTML and Javascript
